Just a short sprint up US-75 today to see my friend Jon Janes in Topeka. JJ and I have known each other for more than 30 years. Although we live more than a thousand miles apart, we've kept in touch over the years.

Spent a delightful evening with JJ, his wife Lynda and son Chris.   One of the great parts of meeting friends who live in different cities is that they know the best places to eat. They picked one of their favorites and it was a good one. And then it was back to their beautiful home for some of Lynda's to die for cherry pie.  I'm stuffed!

Heading west toward Denver in the morning with a stop along the way for an oil change on the bike.
