So, if like me, you always thought Kansas is flat--SURPRISE. Meet Flint Hills.

I-70 runs miles through this undulating landscape with its rich soil and grass. One sign brags that Texas cattle men brought horns to this area and Kansans grew the animals. They aren't mountains, but they're definitely not flat.

Had the bike's oil changed in Junction City, zipped along the freeway toward Colorado.

Raced yet another t-storm to Burlington and checked into a motel just before the heavy rain, lightning and thunder let loose. Weather alerts for flash floods.

Snugly tucked away for the night. Tomorrow it's off to Denver and beyond.
